Welcome

Hello and welcome back.  For those of you new to King Springs Elementary School, my name is Monica Erwin.  I am the Foundation Technology Resource Coordinator.  It is my job to aid the faculty in the selection, design, production and implementation of solutions to integrate technology into class lessons. I will serve as a resource for the faculty regarding IT issues as well as helping them to expand their teaching methods and gain confidence in using multimedia in their classrooms.   I will create and support electronic resources such as this blog, apps for I-Pads, and technology training.  Beth Tovi and Melissa Atkins of the Media Center and I will be working closely to ensure the coordination of all resources at both buildings.

This year, I will become part of the Special rotation, helping to make on-level planning possible once every other week.  In order to make this possible, I will be spending a full day in the new computer lab (room 17) on Wednesday one week and two blocks in the computer lab at the K-1 building the next.  The two other days I am present, I will be happy to do whatever the teachers need.    Please feel free to email me or use the Technology Request form located in the left hand frame to ask for help.  If there is something I don't know how to do or can't do because of system access requirements, I will help point you in the right direction.

e-Beam Tutorials

I know that the beginning of the year can be daunting in the best of circumstances.  Starting a new school year out in a different building with different technology just exacerbates the situation.  For those of you who are using the new e-Beam Interactive White Boards, I have located a website that offers multiple video tutorials.  These boards are also new to me.  We will learn how to use this technology together.
