What question will you answer with this year's science project?

We know many of you are excited to be participating in this year's Science Fair.

Here are the important dates:

January 18 - K1 Campus Projects are due

January 22 - 2-5 Campus Projects are due
January 25 - All projects will be on display in the 2-5 Learning Commons on STEAM night
January 26 - All projects are to be picked up (or they will be recycled)
***please note, the school can not be responsible for damage or loss of project or pieces.
February 10, 2017 - District competition at Kennesaw Mountain High School

Participants in grades 3-5 will have their projects judged. 1st & 2nd place winners will be selected in grade 3, grade 4 and grade 5.  The winning six projects will be able to participate in the district science fair on February 10.

Mrs. Shoushtarian will be talking with grades 3-5 about the Fair during STEM lessons.  Students may ask questions about their own projects during the first few minutes of class and extra help is available during recess in the Learning Commons (2-5 campus) or after school:

Extra help for students in grades 3-5 will include helping students choose "the question/topic", research, and planning their experiment.  We want all students to have the help they need to participate in the fair.  This extra help is intended to give students guidance in the process and will be available from 2:30 - 3:30 on these dates.

December 11:  CANCELLED (Snow day)

December 18:  Sign up for Science fair help session #4
January 8:  Sign up for LAST Science fair help session #5

Mrs. Wilfred will be available as a resource to classes on the K-1 campus.
