Can you provide a little more information about taking the Milestones on the computer? What is the level of proficiency expected
by April? Are they just needing to find a single letter to answer multiple choice questions, or are there actual sentences or paragraphs they will be expected to type? I'm concerned since my child has just started practicing with this Type to Learn program,
but it's not clear what level of competence/speed he needs to be prepared for regarding the test.
Students will have both multiple choice questions as well as questions that require them to type a response.
A nearby school tested both 4th and 5th grade online last year.
They reported that students had ample time to type their responses.
They did not provide any typing instruction to their students prior to the test.
Please refer to the links below for details about the test, a study guide, and a practice site for the test.

With the construction of the new building, what will be done with the peace walk bricks in the Gillespie garden?
We will remove all of the bricks and relocate them to a special spot on the new campus.
After attending the State of the School address, and then contemplating the issues of capacity at the existing school and how
that will impact the future school, it occurred to me that there are people whose children attend our school, but they are not in our district zone. How is that possible? I thought when schools were over capacity that there were no transfers accepted. It is
unsettling that people who specifically purchased homes in this zone for the quality of education that King Springs offers should not have to face overcrowding because other people decide they want their kids at our school instead of their home school. What
can we do to address this? We have been assured by the county that our new school building will
be adequate for our student enrollment. When schools are over capacity, they can no longer accept
new House Bill 251 students because there are no “seats available.” Siblings of students who were previously approved for HB 251 are accepted on transfer.
Transfers are still available for “Children of Employees,” these are employees of the Cobb County School District.
Additional information about transfers is available on the CCSD website.
