Welcome to the King Springs Elementary EIP Blog! We are glad you stopped by! We will try our best here to explain what EIP is and why we exist. We will also attempt to provide you with some great resources to help your child along the way.
EIP stands for Early Intervention Program. The EIP program is a state-funded program whose main purpose is to receive extra instruction in math and/or reading. It is a Georgia educational initiative to help students improve their learning. The goal is to offer immediate and direct instruction/assistance to students to help them achieve academic success.
It's important to remember that although students begin their educational career at the same chronological age, they all come in at different levels intellectually and experientially. Thus, the EIP program is designed to serve students who are at risk for not reaching or maintaining academic goals at each grade level. We, the EIP teachers, provide additional support to these students to help them obtain the skills necessary to reach the grade level goals in the shortest amount of time as possible.
We are here for you if you have any questions or concerns, so please reach out to your child's particular EIP teacher.
