They practice writing words that they see.) -- Animal Center (We have gerbils, two betta fish, hermit crabs, snails, crickets and mealworms. Students observe, draw or write about our classroom pets) ---- More Centers -- ---- Drawing Center - - Cubbies for Math and Writing Journals -- - Mountain Language ( We learn about nursery rhymes, prepositions, same initial sounds, visual discrimination, identifing initial and final consonant sounds, short vowels, comprehension, spelling high frequency words, letter/sound recognition, rhyming words, missing vowel/consonant sounds, what's wrong or missing, sequencing) -- - Math RAP (Math Review and Practice) - -- Rug for group time -
