Awards Day for K-1st will take place on the morning of May 18th. Invitations will be sent to parents of children that are receiving awards. These invitations will be in your child's folder on Tuesday, May 12th. Please read the following attachment about awards day.

There are a few things for which I feel the need to thank parents. What you do does not go unnoticed, even if I don't find the time during the day to comment or respond. :) Things get busy pretty quickly in our classroom!
In an effort to adjust to the recent budgetary concerns, I am making a change to the weekly homework. Please purchase a composition notebook for the remainder of the year to serve as your child's "Homework Notebook." There will no longer be homework packets sent home on Mondays. At the beginning of each moth, I will post a monthly calendar with a short activity for each night. You are more than welcome to modify each activity for your child. Please print the date at the top of each page for the night that you complete the activity. I will collect notebooks on Friday and it will be returned on the same Friday or following Monday.
