Welcome and thanks for visiting my classroom blog.
I am a native Georgian. Although I grew up in Lithia Springs (Douglas County), I was born right here in Cobb County. I presently live in Powder Springs. Time at home is busy, but fun.
I am married. 
My husband and I have one child together
(our daughter, Haylie is 3 years old)
and I have 3 step-daughters (Melany, 17; Brenna, 12; and Emily, 9)
I also have a dog and a cat. Both of them are boys (Edward, black lab mix, and Shadow, the cat).
I love learning as much as I love teaching! I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood & Elementary Education from Kennesaw State University in 2000 and my Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from University of Phoenix in 2006. I am presently working on my Specialist's Degree with a focus on Gifted Education.
This is my 10th year at King Springs and I have taught both 3rd and 4th grades. I love teaching and cannot imagine myself doing anything else (unless, of course, I win the lottery and begin my full-time world travels...). Teaching is not always easy, but it is always rewarding. I look forward to the years to come.
