Dr. Judy Cannon - Reading Specialist (AKA "Math Woman")
Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog! I would love to tell you some things about myself. I recently retired from full time teaching and have been re-employed at King Springs as a part-time support teacher. This year I will be giving support to students and to teachers in a variety of different ways. Teaching reading is a passion of mine. I also love to teach math!! Working with teachers through staff development will also be a part of my job this year. I am very excited about this new beginning!
For the first two weeks of school it was my privillege to teach in Mrs. Allison Powell's first grade classroom. Mrs. Powell had a beautiful baby girl in December. She had been put on bedrest by her doctor. She and baby are doing fine, but Mrs. Powell will not return to King Springs this year. Mrs. Jane Howser is now the permanent teacher in that classroom, and is doing an outstanding job.
I also volunteer my time to work with our fabulous chorus - The Melody Makers. I will be with them in chorus each Monday and Thursday for rehearsal. I also attend their performing events as a support to Ms. Chase and Mrs. Mullins.
