Welcome To Dr. Cannon's Class

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog!  I would love to tell you some things about my class.  This year I am the Reading Teacher.  Teaching reading is a passion of mine.  I am so excited to have the opportunity to share my love for reading with your child this year.

In my homeroom we have a classroom creed that we say each day.  This is our creed:

"Today is a new day!  We will work hard to make it the best day it can possible be.  We will show respect for ourselves, each other and for property.  We will celebrate learning today!"

When you walk into our classroom you will see a large sign above the board that says "Reading is Succeeding!"  Working toward being successful students is a central theme in our classroom.  We practice "Positive Discipline" and we  focus on making choices that will lead to success.

Students in my classroom participate in active learning in a positive environment.  It's great to be in 4th grade!
